Week 16

15th - 22nd April

From left to right: the wonderful Japanese garden in Compton Acres, dinner out with Mum and Dad, noticed a gorgeous little Great Tit using one of our metal flower bird baths, finally started reading Gone Girl, massive eyes!, another shot from Compton Acres - a lovely birthday day out with Sarah, all dressed up, colouring progress, and a little mouse that Dave found eating our bird feed in the shed!

Week 15

Feeling better and back to work!

8th - 15th April

From left to right: sunny skies, playing Unravel, " at home" incase anyone is wondering, it made me laugh that the bag I collected my prescription in asked how I was..., started and finished Skellig in 2 sittings, more bobbles and waves, our new NEST smoke detector, playing Kleptocats, and cooking with yellow and purple!

Week 14

So, so poorly...

1st - 8th April

From left to right: breaking out in goosebumps and can't get warm, wavy stitches, woken up with a fever, thank god for paracetamol, my one venture outside this week to look at the grape hyacinths, pink bobbles, woke up soaked in sweat...stupid flu, looking back on past projects - I love my owl blanket, and somehow managed to fall down the stairs in the night (we live in a chalet bungalow and sleep downstairs...) and ended up with bad bruising on my shoulder and arm...

Friday, 8 April 2016

I've had a really difficult week - came down with a nasty case of flu on Friday and have been suffering ever since. I don't think I've ever felt so ill in my life, and there was literally nothing I could do about it either.

So, I've been off work, and although I haven't felt up to much, I have managed to do a little crochet here and there. I've finished all four "3" motifs, and have moved onto the number "4", which is another rectangular block.

Only a snapshot because I haven't finished this block yet, but it gives you a good idea of the colours and wavy rippled textures. This section symbolises some of the water in the lily pond, and I absolutely love the texture. It also works up really quickly, which is good. I can't wait to see everything blocked and put together. I then unfortunately can't show Dave's Mum until her birthday in September (which is going to kill me), but I started early knowing what I am like with crochet timekeeping! I've hit the halfway mark at a strong pace so let's hope it continues with the rest of the blocks.

Week 13

Finally got my hooks back out, for the first time in about a month...

25th March - 1st April

From left to right: a storm looming in Dorchester, starting my next motif, waking up early and enjoying some reading time, long stay parking on a Wednesday in Dorchester is an absolute rip off, details of the next flower, all ready for a day of sales, my brother brought me a piece of millionaires shortbread, the finished motif - 3 more to go, and spending time looking through old photo albums...oh god...
