1. Slice the meat as thinly as possible. Mix the sugar, soy, mirin, garlic and 1tsp oil, add the beef and stir well. Crack over a good grind of black pepper.
- 300g rump steak
- 2 tsp sugar
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 2 tbsp mirin
- 2 garlic cloves, chopped
- Vegetable oil
- 4 spring onions, sliced lengthways
- 100g basmati rice
2. Heat a wok until very hot with 2tsp oil. Sear the meat for a few minutes and then add the spring onion. Stir fye for another minute. Serve with basmati rice.
It was so good! The original recipe calls for sesame seeds as well, but we didn't use them and it worked out fine. Would definitely recommend!!
